Swimming the water past her gills before
releasing back off into the depths.

A few pics for interest's sake.

While holidaying up at Noosa River Caravan Park over Christmas we jumped in a few tinnies and motored over the other side of the river for a spot of fishing between the rain clouds.

Fishing the freshwater laiden river with some yabbies and catching a few nice whiting, Peter hooked up, what we thought at the time was to be a big stingray.

After a lengthy fight it turned out that emerging from the dark water was a monster flathead.

It's both illegal and immoral to keep these over a certain size as they turn into the breeding stock, and we quickly snapped a few pics to actually proove the age old.......'It was this big!!' fishing story, before slowly swimming water past her gills to let go.

It was a great fish to see, and good to see her swim back off into the depths.
